Terms of Service

These terms cover the Null desktop app for macOS, the console at nullsql.com and the AI features that run through our servers ("Null"). Null is made and operated by Faruk Can, an individual based in Sakarya, Türkiye ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Null you agree to these terms. If you use Null for a company, you accept them for that company.

You sign in with a link sent to your email address or with your Google or GitHub account, and the app signs in through your browser. Keep access to that inbox or account. If a device is lost, sign it out in the console under Devices. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.

Every account gets a 30-day free trial with all features. It starts the first time you sign in to the app. No card is needed.

After the trial Null costs $99 / year, billed in advance, plus any tax. The subscription renews every year until you cancel. Cancel any time from Billing in the console; you keep access until the end of the year you paid for. When the trial or subscription ends, the app still opens and your local data stays on your device, but connecting to databases and AI features stop until you subscribe.

Payments are handled by Polar, our merchant of record, which also collects tax and issues receipts. For a refund or a billing question, email hello@nullsql.com.

We may change the price. A change applies from your next renewal, and we will email you before it does.

You can delete your account any time from Account in the console. Deleting it ends your subscription right away and removes any AI credits left on it. The unused time and the credits are not refunded, except where the law requires a refund. If you only want to stop renewing, cancel the subscription instead and keep access until the end of the year you paid for.

While your trial or subscription is active, we give you a personal, non-transferable right to use Null. A license is active on one device at a time; you can move it to another device from the app or the console. Do not share, resell or work around the license check, and do not reverse engineer Null except where the law allows it.

AI answers can be wrong: review every query before you run it, especially against production. Do not send data through the AI features that you are not allowed to share with us, our providers or the AI provider you choose (see the Privacy Policy). We limit how fast AI can be used to prevent abuse.

Your own provider key. Models from a provider you connect (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or OpenRouter) run under your account with that provider. You pay them directly, their terms apply, and we are not responsible for their service. These requests do not use your AI balance.

Null's hosted models are paid from your AI balance at what the model costs us, without a markup. The trial comes with $0.50 of AI use, and a subscription with $1.00 each calendar month. This allowance is used first and does not carry over.

You can buy more credits from Billing in the console. The price includes the payment transaction fee; tax is added at checkout. Credits are held in US dollars, do not expire, have no cash value and cannot be transferred. They work only while your trial or subscription is active. To get unused credits refunded, email hello@nullsql.com; refunded credits are removed from your balance.

We may add or remove hosted models and change their prices. A new price applies to requests made after the change.

Your database credentials, connections and query history stay on your device; Null connects to your databases directly. You are responsible for what you run against them and for keeping backups. What we store about you is described in the Privacy Policy.

Do not use Null to break the law, to access systems you are not allowed to access, or to overload or attack our servers. We may suspend accounts that do.

Null is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. It can have bugs, and a query you run can change or delete data. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, profits or indirect damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

You can delete your account any time in the console under Account; this cancels your subscription right away. We may end or suspend your access if you break these terms, and we may discontinue Null with reasonable notice.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and disputes go to the courts of Sakarya. This does not take away any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the country where you live.

We may update these terms. We will email you about changes that matter; using Null after they take effect means you accept them.
